LucePlan
Luceplan brings an engineering approach to lighting. Founded in Milan in 1978 by Paolo Rizzatto and Riccardo Sarfatti, son of Gino Sarfatti of Arteluce, it combines precise mechanisms, innovative materials and research into light. At AGOF Store you'll find the original Luceplan catalogue, from table lamps to suspensions.
The Luceplan icons
The Costanza by Paolo Rizzatto (1986), with its interchangeable polycarbonate shade and touch rod, was the brand's first major success and is held at MoMA. The Berenice by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto is the reading lamp with jointed arms and a coloured-glass reflector. The Hope, by Paolo Rizzatto and Francisco Gomez Paz, is the suspension whose prismatic diffuser recalls a crystal chandelier, made with polycarbonate Fresnel lenses.
